The laughter you share with your friends while you get dressed. The moment before the ceremony starts, when the whole room falls silent. Even the tiny “in-betweens” hold meaning.
My wedding photography is gentle, intentional, and built around you. No need to rush. No need to worry. You can just be present, allowing me to document the moments you want to remember for the rest of your life. This image is from the Dillon House in Topeka, Kansas.
She made herself available whenever I had questions. She was very thorough in helping with our photo timeline and working with us on keeping the formal photos short and sweet. I love her edits as they really captured the bright colors even though it was an overcast day. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a wedding photographer!

how it works
All good things start with a conversation, right? If you’re interested in having me photograph your wedding, fill out my contact form. Schedule a call or let's meet up in person. During our discussions you can ask all your questions, and we can get to know each other to ensure we’re a good fit. If we are (and let’s be honest, we absolutely will be), I’ll send you the fully online digital contract. Once the contract is signed and the retainer is paid, you can finally cross “Find Wedding Photographer” off your to-do list!
Connection
Once you’re officially on my books, I’ll send you some handy resources about prepping for your wedding photos, planning your timeline, and making wedding photography feel easy. I work closely with your wedding planner and vendor team to make sure everything works together seamlessly. Roughly three months before your wedding, we’ll finalize your details and timeline. And don’t worry, I am by your side through the entire process, answering questions, calming nerves, and advocating for you!
Preparation
Most of the packages I offer come with an engagement session. Why? Well, not only do engagement photos look great on your save-the-date or wedding invitations, but this session is also an opportunity for you to get comfortable in front of the camera, learn how I work, and just have fun! I’m available to answer any of your questions, and I even have a blog link to help you decide on outfits and locations!
Your Engagement Session
This is the day you’ve been waiting for! You focus on marrying the love of your life and allow me to work my magic. While you’re getting dressed, getting married, and then dancing the night away, I will be in the background capturing every moment as it unfolds. I’ll step in during portraits to direct your family and wedding party members, but the rest of the time, I will remain quiet and unobtrusive so you can fully experience your wedding day without any distractions.
Your Wedding Day
You will receive previews of your photos within 48 hours of your wedding. Three weeks later, you will receive your full online gallery via email! Pop some champagne and make it a date night! The online gallery makes it a breeze to download, print, and share your photos with friends and family.
Depending on your package, I’ll then send you a personalized USB drive with all of your photos. If your package includes a wedding album, I will design your album so you have a tactile reminder of the best day of your life.

There's something about the warmth of the Cyrus Hotel — its boutique elegance, the moody light in the ballroom — that makes every frame feel intentional.
The Great Overland Station brings a sweeping grandeur that takes your breath away, while Townsite Topeka offers a downtown energy that's modern and alive.
I have documented love stories unfolding at Topeka Social, and felt the timeless charm of Cedar Lawn Farms wrap around a ceremony like a warm embrace.
I've also had the honor of photographing at The Dillon House — a space that makes every couple feel at home. And the Brownstone, with it's open spaces and rustic modern vibe.
Wherever you're celebrating in Topeka, I already know the light, the corners worth finding and the moments worth waiting for. And I will show up for you — fully, intentionally, every single time.
Topeka is more than a backdrop —
it's a city full of character, history, and the most beloved venues.
I prioritize candid moments and leave a short time for beautiful intimate guided posing.
Do you prioritize candid moments or guided posing?
Yes! I love photographing Topeka and Kansas City elopements and micro weddings! Intimate wedding packages begin at $1000.
Do you photograph elopements or micro weddings?
I typically photograph around 20 full-day weddings a year, and around 15 smaller weddings or elopements a year (total of around 35-40). I will personally be photographing your wedding, although I always have a plan in place for an emergency situation.
How many weddings do you typically shoot, and will you personally be the one photographing mine?
What I can do for you is create space for you to loosen up and just live your day. Don’t worry or think about the camera. The ones who end up with the photos that feel most like them are the ones who live in the moment and enjoy every second of their day.
How present are you during unscripted moments? Will I feel like I'm performing for the camera?
5 minutes of the calm before the ceremony; 5 minutes of cocktail hour with you in it!; 10 minutes of pictures with you and your new spouse. (and any moment with emotion)
What part of the day would you protect with your life?
Any emotion - laughter, smiles, tears, joy, happiness . Just candid is not enough. No one needs a candid of a guest with their mouth in a weird position. Emotional candids are the reason I love this work.
What moments are most important to you to capture at weddings?
I recommend shortening anything that makes you hyper aware of the camera. I can get incredible photos for you, without an hour long portrait block!
What happens if we feel awkward in front of the camera or hate being photographed?
I am primarily a documentary and emotionally candid photographer. That means I will prompt and direct you as needed. About 20% of my wedding day is posed with the rest of the day looking for laughter, joy, tears or any emotion.
How do you typically direct couple portraits?
With all of my packages, you’ll receive your sneak peeks within 48 hours and your full gallery within 3 weeks.
What is the turnaround time on our wedding gallery?
We do as much planning before your wedding to eliminate these unpredictable situations, but there are some things we simply can’t control. When that happens, I am ready to step in and do whatever needs to be done to make sure you have the day you’ve been dreaming of. No matter what, I remain calm, grounded, and ready to adapt to any situation!
How do you handle unpredictable situations at our wedding?
I am very serious about protecting your photos. At every wedding, I use two cameras. Both of those cameras have two camera card slots. So if one of my camera cards stopped working for some reason, I have an automatic backup of every image. Plus, as soon as your wedding is finished, I'll back up your photos to two external hard drives. By the end of the night, I’ll have four copies of your photos to make sure they are always safe!
What happens if your camera malfunctions? How do you protect our photos?
Where are you located and what areas do you serve?
I am based out of Topeka, and photograph weddings across the state including Lawrence, Manhattan, and Kansas City and Kansas City, Missouri.
