If you are looking for a charming wedding venue, The Brownstone is just that. I don’t know if venue visits are a real thing for photographers, or if I just make them a thing. But I absolutely love going to venues. I always learn all kinds of nuances. And I have to say, The Brownstone is a charming wedding venue. Let’s dive into my experience.
The Main Floor
Let’s start with the grand room. When you walk into the front doors you are immediately in the main room where you can have your ceremony or main reception. There is an elegant chandelier with beautiful lighting throughout the room. Off to the side of the main room is a bar, perfectly situated for guests to get a refreshment or beverage.
Also on this main level is a bridal room that is absolutely charming and primarily used for bridal portraits. This bridal suite is actually a second bridal suite only for photographing you! We will talk about the getting ready bridal suite here in a minute, but literally, The Brownstone knows what a couple and especially a bride, need! They have you covered.
The grooms room is on the opposite side of the main floor. It is filled with comfortable, overstuffed chairs, a table and space for your spouse to prepare for the big day.
The Lower Level
As we make our way to the lower level, you will find your actual getting-ready bridal suite. This comes with a lighted mirror in front of a getting ready bar for your bridesmaids. There is space to lounge and prepare. There is a comfortable lounge couch for the bride and her besties.
Additionally there is a small kitchen area where you can make coffee, keep your champagne cold, or bring wine. This is all for you and your day. Take care of yourself with all kinds of snacks and drinks to keep you full of energy.
One more thing I want to say about this charming bridal suite. There is a huge full length mirror which is to die for! Next to the mirror is a rod for all of your bridesmaid dresses along with your beautiful wedding dress. Literally, The Brownstone has thought of everything.
There are so many great locations around the property for pictures. There is the wine cellar…
And a little bridge leading to the outdoor ceremony space and an antique car.
